Mel Stear was the original Sasha stalker but she was from circa 2001-2007

Who was that UK bloke who was proper obsessed with Sarsha circa 1993 and stalked him through PO boxes, rocked up at gigs backstage wearing a Donnay polo shirt, worked in Eastern Bloc and ended up going out with some bird, they donned matching Renaissance Shirts and attended events which were shared aggressively on GU, Got to the point I thought Sasha’s Mrs was gonna lay into him or something. Now he’s gone cold and don’t even remember his name .

    Remember meeting some bird at the front of the dj booth at fabric who was telling me all kinds of facts about Sasha, how much she’d seen him and loved him whilst handing him lit cigarettes over and over.

    When I first moved to NY in 2008 he used do the odd show here and there , usually boat parties or one offs. Remember this was post Twilo pre Brooklyn so the clubbing scene in NY was wanna be sex in the city extras at red rope/bottle service bars or Vibal or Deep Space parties at Cielo. Fucking superb club.

    Every gig this bird was there . Sarshering it front and center, proper mentalist.

    May have to join that Sasha and Digweed Facebook page just to clock her ……going undercover …will report back ….wish me luck

      Don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these stalkers “Sarshering” it. What does this entail exactly?

                            IndustryStandard I saw him leave the booth (in an absolute mangled state) at 1015 in San Fran 20 years ago to hang out with a chap he seemed to know and 2 blonde dolly birds down the front, who weren’t there for dancing shall we say. After a minute or two of schmoozing he realised he was actually going B2B with Diggers and hightailed it back to the decks. He had to walk passed his Yank disciples all groping him like he was Keith Richards. Great bangers that night.

                                LT42 the guy is like a God in some circles here in New York, mostly down to Twilo. He used to do a couple a boat parties a year when I first got here from 2008 and every one was rammo. For a city that had fuck all house events pre Outputs opening that always surprised me. My American mates always referred to Diggers as Sasha’s record box carrier from the Twilo days, which I thought was a bit harsh but also a tad funny ……..always the bridesmaid 😆
