zackster Here is a spicy disc 2 take: GU024…

I’m not wrong!

CAT MEET PIGEONS!

A mate of mine is married to a Finnish lass. She’s absolutely gorgeous. He even met her in Beijing when he was the manager of Nokia or Siemens.

Next time I’m out with them, I am going to carry a big print out of Adrian Chiles face and another one of Hannu’s face, and get the birds to categorise the blokes as ‘Chiles Finn’ or ‘Hannu Finn’

Homegrove I love Buenos Aires. Just think for a ‘studio’ job is sounds a bit more lazy than others. All good though. Defo Dave Seaman’s best effort!

Having had my headphones die on me the other day, I can now confirm that CD1 of Chris Fortier’s Bedrock is the winner. That CD2 winner remains illusive…

Mad_Cyril Well if everyone tslked about the best CD2’s out there, this thread would be pretty empty right now…😅

Blasted off CD1 of GU13 this morning to get the engine going. Hasn’t aged a day really. Tremendous.

Hearing Sasha play The Baseline Track in 1015 back in 99 on that system was a helluva moment. It was like doing 9gs in a F-15.

So, what’s the best GU disc 1 and why is it Athens?

Northern Exposure 2 - Disc 2 is more banging and more enjoyable than Disc 1.

Yoshiesque Two - the Disc 1 is very well put together, but is mostly deep house. Although the intro to Disc 2 (Finally) needs to be skipped, it then builds to some excellent peak-time prog later on.

        Yes Liqui, yes!

Disc 2 of Digweed’s Fabric - because even though it doesn’t exist, unlike the Disc 1 at least I didn’t waste my time and money on it.

Have just been enjoying Cape Town disk two.

I usually agree with Hugo’s music takes but this one is as wrong as wrong can be!

James Lavelle Romania Disc 2 better than Disc 1.

          Prove me wrong!

You would have to time travel back to 2004 and fish it out of your bin.

I have such fond memories of Rhouses defending that release with such gusto. Less than a year later we found out that GU had gone bankrupt and that Barcelona was the first of several court ordered releases, the purposes of which were to generate capital to pay back the parties they ripped off, one of which was John Digweed.
