jonattonyeah Saw Howells at a tiny club in SF. Played the night before in Los Angeles. Would normally fly up but due to wildfires planes were grounded. He drove the 5 hours up for the gig. Leveled the place. Other times he was good but never quite got to top gear. Never made it to the Diggers peak time vortex level.
Smallman1 jonattonyeah Other times he was good but never quite got to top gear. Never made it to the Diggers peak time vortex level. Is the right answer.
303abuser jonattonyeah howells isn’t special because he bangs it out. he always played great tunes across a variety of genres and meshed them seamlessly. i definitely enjoy is warmup slots and housier sets more myself, but the guy is a master at what he does.
alistair Cd2 of Zabiela’s Balance is superior to 1, although both are good. Proper peak time work out
Christian jonattonyeah heel and toe and we want your soul was when freeland’s credibility took a massive nose dive. he did that one mix a few years ago which was ace, but then went back to his normal shite
rhouses Shanghai was the last GU for me. The shit long box too. Sultan nubreed when I lost all respect. Not ashamed to admit that I enjoyed all the discs of Solomon’s and Baumel’s a decade later.
hugopal jonattonyeah Think Carl Craig’s mix of Faze Action is good, ‘though. Unique track that. It’s an excellent track, actually sounds like being drenched in sweat in a club somehow. Carl Craig’s flurry of creativity around that time was one of the few good things to happen in electronic music in the mid-late 00s.
jonattonyeah 303abuser He’s an excellent warm-up DJ. Just never quite got there for me with his peak time, main room sets. I don’t even mean that as a criticism. Just my opinion.
zackster TBF, Freeland comes off as extremely decent there. Doesn’t lash out or lecture the Wells branch employee. Is very calm andd doesn’t get up on his soapbox. Respect.

Smallman1 benson And the howells essential mix from 2007 ranks as one of my favourite ever. That is boss tbf!
hugopal Christian yeah that was the absolute pick of the bunch. I was fortunate enough to hear Carl Craig play it at The End soon after it came out, which was a good moment.
Amps Christian Played that a lot at the time… was there a second disk to this? Brain wants to suggest there was but I don’t believe it…
Heno Ah I like Danny , taught one of the warm up sets in matter he done before Digweed was really good, also seen him in Amnesia around 01 for a renaissance night and he was top drawer, again I think he’s prob a better warm up dj
