Hursty friend was saying padel is for the big boys, much quicker, more reflexes required. Pickleball seems to be way more massy. Think I’ll start, don’t think i can ever go back to tennis.

Hursty The good thing about pickle is

…you need ear plugs to play it at a busy court.

rhouses I think I’ll stick to coaching in my old age rather than trying to rally with County Players 😕

    Dan humble brag ha.

Been playing a bit of table tennis recently.

Being a naturally gifted sportsman I’ve taken to it like a duck to water.

      rhouses It’s a short rally 😆

      8 days later

Ran a half marathon this morning. Been training since beginning of Jan so not loads of training completed. My goal was to do it under 2 hours and completed it in 1:54:51 which I am very happy with.

RichM Well done! That’s a very respectable time without a lot of training time.

Fucking ice. Bailed for the second time in two weeks today. My back is going to pay for it tomorrow. Knuckles on my right hand looks like I’ve been in a proper fight too.

Nicely done Rich! The amount you interact with my food related posts, I’d have never thought you were prepping for a marathon.

          Here you go chief!

Hursty cheers. At the moment no. I don’t think I would enjoy a full marathon, whereas a half marathon I enjoyed and also felt like a good challenge for me. Am doing a 10 mile event in May. Will see after that.

I like the half distance too. And while I really enjoy 50k on trails, I have no urge to run a road marathon.

You just know we’re only a couple of posts away from sharing split times and what type of training and nutrition can help improve them.

Or the weeds as I like to call it.

Haha I’m 100% in the weeds with running. That’s one of the reasons I like trail running though, splits don’t matter; nutrition is a different beast though.
