Hey-oooooh! Drivetime Dave is on holiday in Benidorm and Mad Millsy is in the loo - which always takes far longer than it should. As a result, I’m your fill-in host for the next hour. I’m Jaguar Jay Kaufman. Growwwwwwwwwwwwwl! You’re listening to Drivetime on Jaded FM!!! Lets stoke the fires, put some premium petrol in your motor and put on your racing gloves, because things are about to go F1. Time to put the pedal to the metal here on Jaded FM! Keep it locked ’cause we’re commercial free for the next hour!! Growwwwwwl!

Anyway, that’s it for me today on Drivetime. Mad Millsy will be back in tomorrow starting at 3 p.m. GMT and Drivetime Dave will be back next week from Benidorm. I’ve got one more for you before I sign off. You maybe driving a Renaut Clio, but who’s stopping you from pretending you’re in the cockpit of a Mercedes F1? Time to point towards the sunset and ride like the wind, here on Jaded FM! Growwwwwwwwwwwwl!!!

Maybe it wasn’t as much of a thing in Ireland and the UK, but in North America there was a certain era of drive time radio personalities where they’d use all sorts of whacky names like Mike ‘The Dog’ Devine (who barked on air) and enthusiastically back announced tunes, ran ridiculous contests, told witty anecdotes and were generally and purposely over the top. Not quite Howard Stern shock jock level, but more people who were absolutely in love with music. Think John Peel combined with Robin Williams in Good Morning Vietnam. It made listening to radio enjoyable, whereas (at least in North America) it’s now all playlisted by massive corporations and unlistenable.
In a previous life I had a radio show and absolutely loved it. It was a right laugh.
At least in the UK there’s the BBC and specialist shows, DJ mix shows and the like. Most of that has disappeared here - sadly.
loopdokter me neither. All that ’suaving the dorises, I’m off to this and that fancy restaurant on my tod’
Cunt!
Loopy has absolutely smashed it with that post of his!
