Homegrove Do enjoy a good italian sub, but at home I usually make a BLT. Finland has shitty sandwhich culture, all you can usually get here is cheese, ham and cucumber in a roll. Maybe some lettuce thrown in for color.
RichM Banh mi or reuben my favourite. Made a nice spaghetti bolognaise sarnie yesterday on cheap white bread. That was a winner
BlainSA RichM Made a nice spaghetti bolognaise sarnie yesterday on cheap white bread That better have been from a tin
Mad_Cyril RichM Made a nice spaghetti bolognaise sarnie yesterday on cheap white bread Also Lasagna, preferably day old leftovers
vinnyt77 Mad_Cyril There’s an Italian ‘sandwich’ that does something along these lines. Take a loaf, slice the top off, and scoop out the soft centre. Replace with leftover lasagna, replace the lid, then press for 24 hours. Slice, and fry. Fucking tremendous.
Along_the_Wire When I eat meet, a BLT on white sourdough with a ton of mayo. Now it’s a cheese salad sandwich on sourdough - lettuce, tomato and loads of onion (a hangover from Covid - onion was the only thing I could taste for ages).
Cankles-McJeggings Subway bread is lowest common denominator shite. Fucking muck. Everything they put in is processed shite too if it’s not really cheap salad. Wankers.
benson Cankles-McJeggings still hits the spot though derms. Sometimes you just need 6 inches of junk in your mouth
Homegrove Cankles-McJeggings I hate that you can’t get subs elsewhere here. Terrific type of sandwhich, but agree that Subway sucks.
Dan Homemade Cheese/Tomato with sea salt & pepper with a squirt of mayo. Crescent of crisps preferably space raiders.
Cankles-McJeggings Little gem lettuce, vintage cheddar, vine tomatoes and marmite. Takes me back to being sexually abused in my uncle Trevor’s shed as a boy.
