-si- One from the original comments for you, plenty to argue about on this, see it’s own comments etc

Smallman1 Amazed you made it to the end of the first paragraph Edward. Well done.

Fucking hell lol, no messing about with the number there! Is the £200000000000 quantified in the comments?

    • Amps replied to this.

-si- I just googled it, and there appear to be several sources saying it is in that ball park. Same for the number of fishermen. Again, the comments have arguments back and forth.

I am in absolute agreement re a lot of the money has went to waste in terms of overpaying for simple items but can’t bring myself to believe that a government could be that incompetent to the tune of hundreds of millions of pounds of public money to purchase PPE equipment!

      • Amps replied to this.

-si- It’s not incompetence though, its done on purpose, it’s deceit. All of those companies will have ties to someone in government.

Surely in this day and age that can’t be the case? How easy is it for anyone to go on to Companies House and look at directors of ltd companies and work things out. Am i being too naive to think that this isn’t easily traceable and people wouldnt be held to account if it was happening to that extent?

-si- I’d have a google around for ten minutes.

So if we hadn’t Brexited each fisherman would now have £17 milly in their bank? I’m not entirely sure if that would be a good thing or not. I know a few lads from Peterhead and I’d say a fair chunk of that would end up in the pockets of crack dealers and Dutch hookers.

I think his sums might be a bit off somewhere tbh.

C’mon, Si. İ refuse to believe you’re being serious here. The best way to answer your own question would be to give an example of a Tory being held to account for anything in 2020, never mind for financial fuckery.

So how the fuck are we 100s of millions down and this isn’t front page news or headline news on the tele?

There was a report the other week but they basically pulled some spanish lad who acted as a broker to source the ppe for a british company, the broker made £20m+ for the connection and i think the company got a £100m order for ppe, the quality of which was questionable.

So british politics is now at trump levels where we do whatever the fuck we want and front it out with the electorate and anyone brazen enough to question the goings on?

              -si-

The £200000000000 quoted was for Brexit brother, not PPE.

              • -si- replied to this.

C_J No. Thats not what they are saying. It’s cost per head, not what they would have received. They are just mocking the fact that many Brexiteers where so concerned for the welfare of our fishermen, and the subsequent cost per head of Brexit for each said fisherman.

Essentially, Brexit was rather an expensive outlay for so few people.

Haha I know that mate. Amps posted another tweet before that with some lad listing literally hundreds of millions of ppe orders that were paid for by the British government but never delivered.

That 200 figure is a bit higher than the hundreds of millions bracket also mate!

                  Ah right.

Been scratching my bonce for an hour or so!!!

Amps Ah, ok. Thanks for explaining that mate 😉

That’s a pretty big fucking number alright. How is the cost of Brexit actually calculated?

Si, people with Tory ties get awarded huge contracts without having to tender for them and the profits are squirrelled away through off shore tax havens that are nigh on impossible to trace.
