Yes of course that well known purveyor of fines meats, Tesco.

bosstrabs There’s about 15 Flat Iron outlets around London now. Always good quality meat, always accurately seasoned and cooked. Steak and chips for £18. Bosh.

vinnyt77 What would be your pick of these Vinny? Interested in trying a few new places…

Wasily They’re very consistent in my experience. I’ve eaten at the King’s Cross, Borough and Spitalfields outlets, and beyond my choice of wine, really not much to differentiate them. Guess it kinda depends what part of town you’re gonna be in…

vinnyt77 agree they are consistent and decent for their price bracket. I remember going to their pop up above the owl & pussycat pub in Shoreditch before they opened their first restaurant. Everything they did back then is still on the menu

vinnyt77 I’m still a fan of the original Goodman in Mayfair. Hill & Szrok is also great

RichM Hill & Szrok is also great

Not been yet, but heard great things.

Pigs Trotter stuffed with veal sweetbreads and a chicken mouse. I have always found it funny over the years the amount of people that think that they a food connoisseurs (when what the actually are is people that just want to eat steak in nice surroundings) put a pigs trotted in front of them and they run a mile.

Dry-Tinder I once read that during the height of nineties decadence Marco PW used to cook chickens purely to put them in a vice to extract the juices and would then discard the rest. Any truth in that you reckon?

              vinnyt77 Where’s your go-to if you’re spending someone else’s money?

              The River Cafe.

mono-stereo No, that was Nico Ladenis. He didn’t discard them though, he would serve them with mayonnaise and some salad for staff lunch. A great chef will try and use every part of the animal.
