Amps I think it’s just one girl.

“They” can also be used to refer to any singular person.

Amps Yeah, Mixmag look less and less relevant these days.

Even when music mags were big, Mixmag was always the trashiest. It’s therefore been no surprise to me that the few times I’ve happened upon their online presence in recent years they’ve generally been pushing nonsense.

Absolutely love this. Played it at an outdoor party in september and it went off

hugopal It was always house related with a token interviews with other genres.

Muzik was much better…. especially in its first few years.

Jockey Slut was also a decent read.

Yeah… but does it not sound a bit mad?

Such an uplifting track that just builds up with minor key changes, vocal snippets and that piano rift.

alistair I’d be lying if I didn’t say the same, on repeat since you posted that clip. Makes me want to do drugs.

On a more chiller vibe, PNAU’s seminal remix of Elton John and Dua Lipa’s Cold Heart. Will post when I’m back on the laptop.

Dan will definitely give it a listen. Satoshi Fumi’s Lotus would be in my top 10 for the year and I remember you playing that in an earlier mix

          alistair ooh, I don’t know. Remember M8?

          I don’t.

          Dan Muzik was much better

Yeah, I regularly bought Muzik as well as DJ Mag.

            ?

Dan a bit before my time, but pretty cool. Not sure why ‘Fragile’ had to be cut at the end there.

I know I’ve posted it before, but this is easily one of the best giveaway CDs ever; still an excellent mix:

            5 days later

smokindan probably the one track I’ve played the most over the past couple of years

‘Rhouses is a disappointment’ by seminal Ipswich punk scene noisesters ‘SINGLE-TRABBED CUNT*’

hugopal Mixmag was absolute trash as a read but it was good for three things: the club listings at the back, the past month’s Essential Mix tracklistings and the free covermount CDs which went through a sustained spell of being quite brilliant from about 1997 to 2000.

Homegrove Who was he on Bedrock? I think I might of met him with my mate Neil in MOS once but not sure.
